英文を読む力も必要。
All--but the certitude immaterial and precious--the certitude of love and faith. He believed the shadow of it had been with him as long as he could remember; that invisible presence had ruled his life. And now the shadow had appeared and faded he could not extinguish his longing for the truth of its substance. His desire of it was naive; it was masterful like the material aspirations that are the groundwork of existence, but, unlike these, it was unconquerable.

As he hung by the ladder, like a resting swimmer, the sea lightning played about his limbs at every stir; and he appeared in it ghastly, silvery, fishlike. He remained as mute as a fish, too. He made no motion to get out of the water, either. It was inconceivable that he should not attempt to come on board, and strangely troubling to suspect that perhaps he did not want to. And my first words were prompted by just that troubled incertitude.

恐らく、彼がそうしたくなかったのではないかと考えるために心配して、搭載されて変に来ることを彼が試みないことは不可解でした。

音読こそ英会話学習の基本部分ではないでしょうか。

たしかに地味という印象もありますがそういったものほど確実な効果が期待できますよね。

現地の国でもそれを推奨するほどだといいます。
音読、つまり声に出して読むことは学校の国語の授業で
教科書の文を声に出して読むといった要はアレ。

英会話を学ぶ上で最大のメリットは視覚のみならず、聴覚からも
情報を出し、学ぶことができるということのようです。

英会話において一番重要なのはリズム。
強弱および息継ぎ。あのアクセント、抑揚が
作るニュアンスがとても大事ですよね。

そのノリで英語を話してもネイティブには伝わらないのだといいます。

抑揚が命だと考えればその発音を身につけないわけにはいかないですもんね。

というのがなによりの目的になるのです。

繰り返しているうちに頭に残り、フレーズを勝手に覚えてしまうもの。
音としてそのまま言葉の意味を捉えられるようになった時
本当に英語を話せるようになったといえるのではないでしょうか。
